Mr. Lenzmeier served in the US Army and entered the field of education in 2009. He comes to Denver following his experience as the founding principal at Atlas Preparatory High School in SE Colorado Springs. During his time as the high school principal, Atlas Preparatory earned the Colorado Department of Education’s Center of Excellence Award in 2018 and 2019. He is thrilled to be part of our STRIVE Prep – Federal community and is committed to making STRIVE Prep – Federal the best middle school in Denver!
Academics at STRIVE Prep – Federal
STRIVE Prep – Federal middle school offers courses in both English Language Arts (ELA) and Math, where students receive a grade-level instruction through a rigorous curriculum coupled with individualized instruction to match their individual learning needs. All students have an extended Math class (75 minutes instead of 50). Students explore real-world phenomena through an application-based Science course and engage in rich collaboration with peers and critical thinking activities in a project-based World Studies course. Students learn to use and own their own voice in Speech & Debate class. Students receive interventions for their specific individualized needs throughout the day, whether that be English Language Development, Basic Reading Skills, or Advancement. Finally, all students have the opportunity to engage in arts-based and movement-based courses throughout their middle school years.
