At STRIVE Prep – Montbello we are deeply committed to maintaining a safe environment focused on learning for our scholars in the Montbello community.  Along with 100 minutes of math and ELA instruction each day, our scholars also attend specialized classes to support their specific reading goals. The well-rounded academic schedule also includes World Studies, Science, Art, and PE.  Our scholars enjoy coming to school and are pushed to learn something new each day.

Grief Resources

Grief can result in many strong emotions, such as confusion, anger, and/or sadness. It is our priority that every student and family has access to information regarding mental and
emotional health.

Please see the following resources to support parent-child conversations and determine if additional help is needed.

*Additionally, you can access 24/7 local support from Safe2Tell Colorado 877-542-7233 (an anonymous way to report unsafe behaviors) and Colorado Crisis Services 844-493-8255 (a statewide resource for mental health, substance use, or emotional crisis help, information, and referrals). For how to provide support to children and teens grieving a death, feel free
to visit The Dougy Center.

Academics at STRIVE Prep - Montbello

STRIVE Prep middle schools offer extended time courses in both English and Math, where students receive a combination of grade level instruction through a rigorous curriculum coupled with individualized instruction to match their individual learning needs. Students explore real-world phenomena through an application-based online driven Science course, and engage in rich collaboration with peers and critical thinking activities in a project-based World Studies course. Students receive interventions for their specific individualized needs throughout the day, whether that be English Language Development, Basic Reading Skills, or Advancement. Finally, all students have the opportunity to engage in arts-based and movement-based electives throughout their middle school years; and each of our schools offers unique after-school activities to accompany a well-rounded school day.
